Early this morning, Friday November 13 at approximately 4:15 AM the North Shore Regional Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash in the area of Main Street at Normandy Row. Officer Giordano, TPD arrived first updating that there were injuries on scene. Ambulance 1 arrived and the incident commander Lt. S. Winfrey reported that ALS (Advanced Life Support) medical personnel would be required to treat the injuries on scene. Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage from the head on collision, each vehicle was occupied by only the respective drivers. Gino’s Towing was notified to remove the damaged vehicles, one of which had left the roadway, striking and damaging a rock wall. One person was transported by Topsfield Fire EMTs and Paramedics with serious injuries, the other was taken into custody by Topsfield Police. TFD would like to remind the public to wear seatbelts, without the use of which this accident could have easily turned deadly. As always, we hope for a speedy and full recovery for those injured.
